Azyn ® Azithromycin, an azalide, a subclass of macrolide antibiotics, for oral administration. it inhibits protein synthesis,by impair the elongation cycle of the peptidyl chain by specifically binding to the 50 S subunit of the ribosome.

A patented hydro active product range (moist environment), offers reliable solutions in all phases of wounds healing process and dermatological affections.Biotitus Derma ointment contains Cera (Beeswax), Olivae oleum (Olive Oil), Helianthi oleum (Sunflower Oil), Ricini oleum hydrogenate (Castor Oil), Bismuthi subgallas (Bismuth Subgallate), Gum Rosin (Colophony (and Camphora: CamphorStimulates the development of granulation tissue. It favors healing by ensuring a favorable microclimate for healing by stimulating epithelial cells/ Keratocytes/ Endothelial cells by restoring the skin’s lipid barrier and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. Increasing epithelization even in case of deep wounds by stimulating the reserves of residual epithelial cells. accelerating the wound bed vascularization. The anti-inflammatory effect and absorption of excess exudate allow an optimal debridement.Prevents wound infection, Antibacterial action (due to phenolic acids, flavonoids, ferulic acid and ricinoleic acid), Antiseptic action (due to colophonium and camphor).
Special comfort for the patient that reducing pain, thus allowing early mobilization.
Favors the development of a good quality epithelium.
It is not adherent to the wound, removal is easy & atraumatic
Easy to apply in the case of wounds found in difficult areas (e.g., anatomical folds, mucocutaneous junctions).

Local treatment of acute wounds: first, second A and B & third-degree burns, excoriations, ulcerations, other traumatic wounds and other skin injuries.
bed sores and chronic wounds (diabetic foot ulcer, pressure ulcers and venous ulcers).
Post- Operative wound healing, cesarean section (C-section), Episiotomy, Circumcision, any other type of wounds.

Contraindication and side effects:
Non cytotoxic (i.e., not impairing local cell function and not having negative effect on the wound tissue.
Well tolerated product.

Warnings & Precautions:
Stop the medication right away and talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you develop any allergic or skin reactions to any of the ingredients present in this ointment such as Skin itchiness, skin redness, shortness of breath, skin rash, swelling of the face or neck, decreased blood pressure and dizziness.
This medicine is designed for external topical use only. Do not swallow this product.

First degree burns (superficial burns)

  • Apply a thin layer of the ointment on the affected skin area as immediately as possible.
  • Keep the affected area exposed. If there is a need to cover the area, you can use a light dressing.
  • Renew the ointment application 3 to 4 times daily if the burnt area is not covered, and twice daily if the burnt area is covered.

Second degree burns
First phase (liquefying period):

  • Apply a thin layer of the ointment on the affected skin area as immediately as possible.
  • Keep the affected area exposed. If there is a need to cover the area, you can use a light dressing.
  • Renew the ointment application 3 to 4 times daily if the burnt area is not covered, and twice daily (applying a thicker layer of ointment) if the burnt area is covered.
  • Make sure to wipe off the liquefied necrotic tissue before reapplying the ointment.

Second phase (repair period):

  • ointment should be applied the same as before but less frequently; 2 to 3 times daily.

Third phase (rehabilitation period): ointment should be applied the same as before but less frequently; once daily.

Third degree burns

  • Apply the ointment as mentioned for second degree burns during liquefying phase;
  • a thin layer of the ointment on the affected skin area as immediately as possible to be reapplied 3 to 4 times daily.

Donor site 

  • Apply a thin layer of the ointment on the affected skin.
  • Renew the ointment application 3 to 4 times daily if the burnt area is not covered, and twice daily if the burnt area is covered.

Leg ulcers 

  • Impregnate a sterile gauze with the ointment making sure to completely fill the cavity of the skin ulcer and reapply twice daily.

Ointment Tube: 20 ml Applicator: 15 ml

  • Keep out of the reach of children and pets
  • Store below 25°C
  • This medicine may change its physical appearance when stored during hot seasons but this does not affect its efficacy
  • Do not dispose medication in the wastewater or household waste
