Kapsin Ointment
For relieving pain in muscle and joint ointment
Kapsin® Ointment for the relief of muscles and joint pain and inflammation, it contains Cayenne Pepper extract 0.38%, Propolis cera 0.5% and Camphor 0.35%.
Cayenne pepper active component is Capsaicin and several related compounds are called capsaicinoids (Alkaloids) and have therapeutic effects as potent, long term antinociceptor, Potent, Long-term anti-inflammatory, Counter-irritant effect and strong anti-microbial activity.
Capsaicin inhibits the synthesis of Substance P by interfering with the transport of Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) to the cell bodies of the sensory nerves where it contributes in the process of Substance P synthesis plus, Capsaicin by its neurotoxicity effect cuts off the neurogenic inflammation pathway by temporarily destroying the nerve fibers in the affected site.
Propolis contains around 10% flavonoids as biologically active constituents with medical benefits: Pain and inflammation management, antimicrobial effect, wound healing.
Camphor has many medical benefits as topical anesthesia and antimicrobial effect.
Osteoarthritis.
Rheumatoid arthritis.
Fibromyalgia.
Joint pain associated with pregnancy.
Post-traumatic conditions.
Contraindication and side effects:
Kapsin® ointment is well tolerated generally, Patients who are known allergic to Capsaicin or any of Kapsin® ointment constituents are not to use it.
Warnings & Precautions:
For external use only. Kapsin to be used on intact skin.
Avoid eye contact and wash hands immediately after usage.
